Care Tips:
Light: Venus Fly Traps grow best in bright to partial light.
Water: These plants will do best with distilled water or rainwater. Tap water can be hard on the plants and cause discolored, damaged leaves. Keep potting material slightly moist
Soil: These can be finicky with their growing conditions. Venus Fly Traps thrive in wet, acidic, nutrient poor soil. Peat and sphagnum mosses are good bases. Generally, only need to repot every year or two and slightly increase the pot size over time.
Temperature: Venus Fly Traps prefer higher humidity levels with good air flow.
Fun Facts:
– These are carnivorous plants that catch and eat insects. That is where they get their nutrients from.
– The tiny hairs at the end of the traps are the triggers that tell the plant to shut when there is food in there.
