Care tips:
Light: Ficuses prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, as leaves may drop or burn. East or west facing windows are ideal locations for a Ficus tree. A north facing window will likely not provide enough sun, resulting in a leggy plant. Additionally, south facing windows can provide too much direct light which can easily burn the leaves. If choosing a south or west facing window for your Ficus, ensure that it is receiving filtered light, or set the plant a few feet back from the window.
Water: Avoid overwatering. Allow most of the soil to dry out in between waterings, but never to the point of being bone dry. If the soil is pulling away from the pot and the leaves are wilting, your soil is too dry.
Soil: Plant in well-draining soil.
Temperature: Ficuses are sensitive to the cold, avoid letting their environment get below 60 degrees. Don’t place in front of vents or drafty spaces in your house.
