End of Summer Tent Sale

Another not-to-be-missed event is Longfellow's End of Summer Tent Sale held in late August through Labor Day. Look for fantastic savings on closeouts, overstocks, and scratch & dent merchandise from our garden center as well as great deals on end of the season nursery stock.
Family Fall Festival
Saturday, September 27th, 2008
Join us in October for our annual Fall Family Festival. This is a fun-filled day for the entire family. Stop in and see the fall mums, the flowering kale, delightful scarecrows, bewitching witches and all the things needed to complete your fall and Halloween decorating. There are many activities for the kids, a wonderful
variety of homemade goodies and lively entertainment. Longfellow's has the best selection of pumpkins in the area.
All proceeds from this event benefit an area charity.
Fall Art Show
November 1 & 2, 2008
Celebrate the colors of fall with Longfellow's Fall Art Show. At this event 20-25 Maine artists exhibit their work. The art includes oils, watercolors, pastels, gouaches, pen & ink, photography, and metal. All of the artists are available throughout the weekend to answer questions and to discuss special requests and commissions. Come enjoy the art, musical entertainment, and all the colorful plants in our greenhouses.
Holiday Open House
November 15 & 16, 2008

Poinsettia Festival
November 24 & 25 2008
Come enjoy the splendor of Longfellow's poinsettias in all their glory. This is a wonderful time to get in the holiday spirit amout our thousands of poinsettias and fresh-cut trees and greenery. Pick out the perfect wreath for your door and choose a bow from hundreds of holiday ribbons. Take part in many festivities, including voting for your favorite poinsettia variety. Ongoing demonstrations, refreshments, and much more.
